The NHLPA and the NHL have decided to play nice for at least the next three years. NHLPA announced yesterday it would not seek to get out of the current CBA at season end. Both sides agreed that they would work to tweak current CBA over next few years so that it could be extended. Work stoppages are useless, nobody benefits. Nice that the league will avoid its third stoppage in 15 years. With the addition of Vegas and Seattle to the league, that’s over $1B in expansion fees. More than 60% of the league makes over $1M. So the times are good.
